THEOLOGY AND BIBLE STUDIES  REFORMED THEOLOGY

DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE
OF THE CERTIFICATE

Revelation University has designed a learning and orientation program for prospective candidates who will serve as Commissioned Pastors (Article 23) of the Christian Reformed Church of North America (CRCNA). It is commonly known as the Luke 10 Program. The purpose of this program is to prepare new church planters who have access to online courses, and the curriculum is based on the Learning Plan for the Candidacy office of the denomination.

The program contains eleven courses, which will be offered in twelve months.  The entire program will have 30 credits. The teachers have the academic and theological preparation at the master's level, specifically in terms of reformed hermeneutics and relevant experiences.

CRITERIA

The academic period lasts 4 quarters. Academic credits (credit units, CU) are defined as follows: One academic credit represents 48 hours of study comprising 12 hours face to face /online instruction with a professor and 36 hours of self study to include homework and or research.

FOR GRADUATION

Pass the eleven courses.  Only students who have met all the requirements of the program are entitled to participate in the graduation ceremony.

​

The student must pay in advance the corresponding cost of graduation.  The cost is non-refundable.  This fee includes: the ceremony venue, diploma, cap and gown.

To seek ordination as a Commissioned Pastor (Article 23) of the Christian Reformed Church of North America (CRCNA), it is recommended for students to pass 30 academic credits.

 

The student needs to pass an oral examination and comply with other requirements by the local classis.
